Home pages that convert prospects to clients.

Copy these great features with your website.

Below are 5 different home pages that are from well known companies that are very effective at converting prospects to clients.  No need to invent something new, just find out what is working for someone else and copy.  They didn’t teach that to me at school.

Plus the most simple website that is worth billions.

  1. This website was done by humaan.com and they have done a great job.

Jurien bay website

  • On a desktop the image is actually a video, so straight away it gives you the feeling of the ultimate experience.
  • Your attention is dragged straight to the “action” buttons, which are coloured in pink.  The business is wanting you to the prices and also to “Book Online.”   Imagine if these boxes were white, they would be completely lost in the home page.  Great work.  This can quite often be implemented in many websites.
  • It is important to identify any road blocks wit your clients, which maybe in skydiving “Are these guys safe and is it the best skydiving place?”  They have counteracted this with “Go skydiving at Australia’s most positively reviewed skydive.”

There are many other very good features with this site, however we are just highlighting the home page with standout features.

They are also great marketers as they re-targeted me on facebook.  Great work guys, this is a great way to increase conversions.  I better book in.

2. Michaels chemist was completed by www.c4concepts.com.au located in Perth.  It is hard to combine a bricks and mortar stores with an online store.

E-commerce store

  • As soon as you visit this site there are 2 tool bars across the top.  This is also mirrored on each page.

title

The green tool bar is the online shop that is always prominent.  With “go to” headings a prospective client can instantly click on one no matter what part of the website.  The object is to sell online, but also direct people to their stores.

  • Again simple “non road block” headings at the top of the page.  “Australian Owned” projects a image of these products are safe due to our strict regulations.  Free shipping encourages people to spend more than $99.  (I would think that margins are tight in this industry.) “Fast shipping” as in general we need consumable items quickly.
  • I have noticed more online stores with phone numbers down the bottom.  This may force the customer to scroll down or not call straight away but search.

There is so much more great about this site including drop down categories which consumers find easy to navigate and google also loves.

3.  It’s been reported that News Corp paid $40 million dollars for a 25% stake for the below company all due to their website.

Hipages

  • So simple, has a good headline and 4 “tick” points which gets to the point.
  • The customer instantly know’s they just have to put in 4 digits.  How easy is that.  The hardest thing is to get a customer to start and interact.  If you can make the first process dead simple your conversions will increase.
  • Notice how the “action” button “get started” is blue.  Completely different colour to all other colours on the website.
  • There is also a second tier client.  This is the tradie.  They can also click on the button and list their business easily.

4.  Secrets Golf, also draws your eye.  We work with Secrets very closely and we know this website converts.

Secrets website

  • They have a great special that includes lunch.  This is sold before any staff have to ask.  The customer see’s their great $69 deal in the middle of the website.  You dont need to sell when the customer is already sold.
  • Again the 2 biggest buttons are designed to draw the customers eye.  This is where Secrets wants the customer to go rather than the top tool bar first.
  • The image of someone playing golf creates the experience.  Many Golf courses have great images but lack people in the image.  Having someone enjoying your service or product helps increase conversions.
  • On a mobile the phone number is also clickable and phones straight to the pro shop which is very important for this industry.

5.  No surprise to see the most simple website in the world to be worth billions of dollars.

Google

  • I love it, so simple it is now even a common phrase.  “Google it”

Key elements:

  • Keep it simple on the home page.  Less is more.
  • Have your call to action a different colour to the rest of your website.
  • Make sure your customer can take action on the home page and not have to click through to find what they are looking for.
  • If you are a bricks and mortar store, have your phone number up the top right hand corner.
  • Have an image that engages with your customer instantly.
  • Social proof is important for businesses.  Have links to your social media.  (Make sure your social media is updated regularly.)
  • Keep your benefits to the customer brief and to the point.

7 Simple Conversion Techniques for your Website.

1Make sure that your phone number is clearly visible on your Top Fold preferably the top right hand corner.  Make sure this is clickable when being viewed on a phone.

You will find that many people are just looking for contact details, especially if you are in the service industry.

2 Zero content on your images or sliders is common. Most people will look at your pictures first on your home page.

This is a great place to put your special or call to action. It is very simple and effective. Example: If you are a real estate agent you may have this great image of a Family walking into a new house. How much more effective would that be if you had text: Flat rate commission 1.5%. No Advertising Fees.
Then link this page to a page on your website that has more details plus contact details. Make sure the heading on this page is the same as the text on your banner.

rush

3 Newsletter “Subscription” is boring and I bet there are no sign ups.
Try something different “Get Latest Fashions in your inbox” or “Get notified on new arrivals.” This can be linked to a pop up box, which has proven to double sign ups. The pop up box allows you to stay on the same page and just a simple email address is all that is required. Every time you ask for more piece of information such as surname, phone you will lose 10%.

4 “Welcome to Aussie Click”.

This is a common first sentence that customers see on a website.
It sounds nice and inviting. Does it draw you to use my company? Have a great compelling headline instead. “Let me show you how we increased a restaurants booking from 4 to 80 people a night within 2 weeks!”

Killer headline

Are you a Mortgage Broker wanting customers from Social Media?

Get real customers from Social Media like Facebook rather than just LIKES.

FB Image 1

Social Media is a great place to get customers, however you need to do it the correct way otherwise your efforts are for nothing.

Before I start please keep this in mind.  When potential clients are searching for your service on Google, they are already interested in looking for a Mortgage Broker so you advertise differently whether it is for organic ranking of Google or Pay Per Click.  When you advertise on Facebook you really need to have a compelling reason for “lookers” to become clients.

This is a step by step process that gets results.

Firstly we need to send your ad to the right audience.  This can be done in a variety of ways and we prefer to test several ways.

  1. Custom an audience from your current database.  This is we can use your current customer database of emails or phone numbers and target them with a specific ad.  This is a great place to start as they already have a relationship with you.  This is all done through Facebook, and we suggest to back this up with an email campaign
  2. Create a Lookalike audience.  Facebook will look at your current database and select people with similar attributes on facebook and you can target ads to this new group.  Having similar characteristics as your current database increase the likelihood that they will need your services as well.  Truly an amazing tool by Facebook.
  3. Fan Targeting.  This is where we advertise directly to people that have already liked your page.  This is highly effective but you need 1000+ fans for this.
  4. Interest and Demographic Targeting. Great when you want to target an area or demographic.  If first home buyers are your target we can aggressively market to people aged 25-30 in a particular area.  Your ads can then be aimed for first home buyers.  Great strategy for most mortgage brokers.

How to convert your audience into Customers?  Ad copy on Facebook.

  1. Create a great ad copy.  You need something compelling to entice someone to come to you.  Please don’t say “Welcome to True Trusted Stockbrokers, we will give you the best service…….” Our recommendations that work include:
  2. Give something away for FREE.
  • “Free consultation 7 days a week after hours.”
  • “Free case study on how to Pay your mortgage off in 10 years”
  • “Free Budget Buster Calculator to save 000’s of  your Mortgage”
  • “Free report on what every first home buyer should be aware of before buying a house.”

3. Tell a story to peak curiosity. “We just save s couple $500 a month on their mortgage, and here is how we did it…..”

4.  As writing this blog interest rates are falling so if you have a low rate show it.  “Are you paying more than 5% interest on your mortgage?” or “Home loan rates at 4.5% online today…”

What NOT to do now!

95% of your competitors that are doing this then ruin it by sending potential clients straight to the home page of their website.  This is where conversions plummet.  This is great news for you as you now have the secret to convert these people into real leads.

What should be Done!

When a potential customer clicks on your ad make sure they go to a page that has the same headline and information you promised.  Make sure you have a call to action button “Obligation Free Appointment” at least once or maybe as many as 4 or 5 times on the page.

Above will get you in front of your competition and start producing valuable leads.

Some advance strategies after this should include:

  • Facebook Re targeting your client.
  • Google Re targeting your client.
  • Email nurture campaign.
  • SMS blast
  • Pop up’s for database collection.

By the way, we create lead pages for you and also pop up boxes like the button below which have a much higher conversion rate.  Try it below and you will see what we mean.

5 Campaigns that have the best return on your Investment

Every business should have more than one lead generation tool in their marketing plan. I see many business owners get too bogged down in the tools themselves rather than the outcomes that the tool produces.

And while the law of competition may be sometimes hard for the individual, it is best for the race, because it ensures the survival of the fittest in every department.    – Andrew Carnegie

Here are our top 5 Lead Generation strategies that every business should have in their marketing campaign.

1.    Email campaign.  I’m starting with this as it seems to be the one everyone starts but goes by the wayside.  Hang in there.  I have been receiving emails from a company for 4 years and never bought from them.  Timing was never right.  Then bang I was hit by an offer.  If it was anybody else I probably would have trashed it.  However as I have seen this company in my face every month I felt I could trust them.

Plus emails are Free just costing you some time.  Still got a folder full of email addresses you are not using? Start today.

2. yellow pages

2.    Yellow Pages  Sorry I meant Google. Like it or not Google is the number 1 place your customers are looking at your competitors.  I have seen so many businesses flourish because they are getting email and phone leads through Google.  This is a very exciting place to be once you get this right.  There are so many options and acronyms; you really need to consult a marketing company. Aussie Click.  SEO, PPC, Retargeting, Display Marketing etc.  But don’t get too bogged down in the details as remember it is the outcomes they produce that is important.

3 mobile marketing

3.    Mobile Marketing. This is the only marketing I know where you can get to your desired audience and they will engage with your message within 5 seconds.  Very very powerful. Yet grossly underused in Western Australia.  I have seen a restaurant spend $89 on a SMS blast and go from having 4 on a Wednesday night to having 80.  Now that is a great return.  We are now seeing this across all industries.

4. social media

4. Social Media.  No we are not talking about likes we are talking about LEADS.  We have tested many ways to get leads from Social Media. Failed many times. Until now.  Facebook leads are different to Google leads, as with Google you have a client that is looking for your service of product.  Facebook you need an offer to get your clients interest.  The great thing about Facebook, you can target these people.  You can then direct people to that great offer you have either on your website or a special landing page.  An effective facebook campaign is vital to maximise your business.  You only pay for the leads you get.

5. network5.    Networking and Referrals.  Building relationship is very important (and fun) in any business.  Having a great referral partner and joining network groups is a great way to leverage your time.  Make a point to include this into your marketing strategy, as it may not feel like marketing but it pays dividends and is such a great tool for your business.

You will see that many of these campaigns are either FREE, or you only pay for the people that are interested.  Beats the old way spending a few grand in the Newspaper and crossing your fingers in hope you get a customer.

7 Simple FREE strategies that will instantly rank your business before 80% of your competitors.

Google

The fact is most of your customers are searching online, and your competitors are not doing anything about it.  Opportunity arises!  Here are 7 simple strategies that are easy to do to get in front of your competitors.

  1. Google My Business.  This used to be Google places but has recently changed to My Business and helps you get your business on Google and Google maps.  Start by clicking on this link: www.google.com.au/business/

It is a simple step by step process that is worth taking some time to do. This represents the way Google and your clients will see you.  When you are typing in your description make sure you ad “search terms” you may want to be found for. E.g. “Perth Electrician” “Lawyer Sydney”

Make sure all information is accurate.  Google will ask you to verify the information that you have given through a phone call or post.

  1. Free online directories.  Here are the top 5 directories you need to put your business in.  Google will look to see if your business is in relevant directories. With each directory make sure you change your description by at least 70%. Don’t copy and paste from your website Google will know!
  1. Webpage content. Google ranks web pages and not so much websites.  Each page on your website needs to have a good description about your product and service.  If it is possible devote one page of your website to a particular service or product.  This indicates that this business is a specialist and has the most relevant information.  DO NOT over clutter your description with keywords that you want to be found for.  Google can penalise you for this.  Instead use different words to describe your product or service.  Feel free to highlight, bold or underline some of these key phrases.
  2. Blog. Set up a blog on your website. Google loves new content and a blog is a great way to keep your customers up to date.  You can then use this blog on your facebook and newsletters. That way you don’t have to come up with new material for different media types.
  3. Social Media. Love it or hate it, business owners are losing business and rankings if they are not using it.  The scenario I see time and time again.  The business owner starts very enthusiastically then after 3 months is sick of it and does not post again.  This makes the business brand look tired and out dated.   I would suggest looking at getting a professional to do it.  Outsourcing to a professional (approx. $100/ week) saves you time and money and gets results.  This is probably about 2 to 4 hours of most people’s time, where you can concentrate on the sales.
  4. Create a video or more. You can now create a video with your mobile phone or using free software from the internet.  Videos are a great way to show customers your product or service.  Here is a brand new one just created: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGHCiSjsFk0

These can then be used on your website and even landing pages to generate leads and sales.

Google owns YouTube so you can see how they are going to rank higher in search results.

  1. You’re Address. Put your full address in the footer of your website, clear for all your customers to see.  Make sure this address matches the address you put in the online directories.  Google will match this address to what is in the directories.  It’s also good to have your phone number at the top of each page.
  2. Add Value and Share. I did only say 7 strategies, but we love to add value.  If you have great information that you can share with others via blogs, social media or emails make sure you share with affiliates.  Have a link back to your website.  This creates great value to your credibility.

Spend some time on the above points and you will be out ranking your competitors in no time and bringing in new clients.
